Wouter Termont joins KNoWS
Last month I had the pleasure of joining the KNoWS team as a senior researcher on Solid.
I studied computer science, philosophy and artificial intelligence at UGent and KU Leuven, and
built experience in Linked Data and Solid on the digital humanities project Logical Geometry, and
as software architect and lead engineer at Digita.
I contributed a lot to the Solid Community Group, and will continue to do so in the Solid Working Group.
My research will mostly focus on the authentication and authorization flows in Solid,
as well as application interoperability.
As such, I will work under the supervision of Ruben Verborgh.
A lot of my time will also go towards writing specification texts, both on these topics and on others.
Apart from the above, I have a broad interest in RDF and Linked Data in general, logical foundations,
data representation, and web architecture.
Any free time that is not spent on those mostly goes towards reading (fantasy, philosophy...),
sport (squash, running), renovating my apartment, or enjoying good food, coffee and wine
(I used to work as a sommelier during my studies).
I'm looking forward to working with my new colleagues and together realizing the dream of a Social
Linked Data Web!
